Chosen Jacobs wants to be designer in ‘Sneakerella’ movie trailer

“Once I put this sneaker on, it’s MY story.” Disney has revealed a full official trailer for a very fun new movie titled Sneakerella, landing on Disney+ in May to kick off the summer movie season. Yes, this is Disney’s long-awaited and highly-anticipated take on “What If the Modern Cinderella but in the New York sneaker scene instead” and it’s even rated TV-G. You’ll see why with this family-friendly trailer. Set in New York’s edgy street sneaker subculture York, Sneakerella is Disney’s high-energy musical film that puts a contemporary spin on the classic Cinderella Fairy tale. The story follows El, played by Chosen Jacobs, an aspiring sneaker designer from Queens who works in a shoe store once owned by his late mother. It also features Lexi Underwood, Devyn Nekoda, Bryan Terrell Clark, Hayward Laundry, John Salley, Juan Chiorán, Kolton Stewartand Robyn Alomar. It looks much better than expected, really getting Nice to meet you vibes from this trailer. I hope he has great musical numbers.

He hides his artistic talent from his overworked stepfather and two mean-spirited stepbrothers who thwart any opportunity that comes his way.
